KaMac NDT, in collaboration with Efer Endoscopy, is the exclusive North American rep for In Situ Borescope FPI Systems (also known as Endo FPI). This newly developed system allows FPI to be performed in situ for many applications.
In Situ Borescope FPI Systems (also known as Endo FPI) includes: pre and post blending operations of compressor blades and low pressure turbine blades; entire surfaces of the airfoil, not just the leading or trailing edge; inspect welds of external engine components; assist in determining if an indication seen during a routine borescope inspection is a crack, black mark, scratch or even impact damage.
Having the ability to perform in situ borescope FPI to determine if an indication is relevant or non-relevant, can in many instances, prevent costly engine tear downs and prevent high losses of revenue.
